Congratulations to Dr Adrian Henggeler

Congratulations to Dr Adrian Henggeler on the award of a Swiss National Foundation Postdoc Fellowship.

As a Postdoc in the Ochs Lab at CGEN, Adrian will use this funding to illuminate the mechanism of cohesin loop extrusion in situ. Loop extrusion is a process by which the protein complex cohesin organises our DNA into 3D chromatin, the fundamental structure in which all nuclear processes occur.

Using state-of-the-art super-resolution microscopy approaches, Adrian’s project aims to decipher the molecular nature of loop extruding cohesin inside cells.
